The 12/12/12 Post

12

Or if you can’t do something special today, you have to wait until the millennium’s last ordinal date next year, on December 11th, 2013 or 11/12/13.

I personally take this thing gratefully. How lucky I was to be born near the year 2000, so I was one of the billions to witness the transition from 20th century to the 21st, to experience both technology before and after the internet, to have a wonderful 90s childhood, to celebrate the new millennium in 2000, to witness the last repetitive date of the millennium, and (wishfully) live long enough to witness the last ordinal date of the millennium.

Because my children won’t, and neither will my grandchildren and my great-grandchildren.
