Samurai Collection Armani Privè 2011/2012

Giorgio Armani makes headlines at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Show 2011/2012 for his Privè Fall/Winter 2011/2012 collection called Samurai Collection. As you can presume, this collection gives Asian experience along the runway following Armani’s inspiration from Japanese traditions.

Floral kimonos, sakura blossom prints, obi-like waist garnishes, and origami folding are translated into dresses, suits, and avant-garde collection.

I’d say, love the headpieces even tough they’re kinda British and not too Japanese indeed.

And one more note, to name this collection ‘Samurai Collection’ is not really appropriate since the whole collection is devoted to women’s wear, and Samurai term refers to male. Geisha Collection, maybe?
